Leadership
Michael Rubel is the Co-CEO/COO of Red Bison Technology Group, where he drives inorganic growth and strategic financing as the company continues to grow and expand. In addition, he conducts detailed due diligence investigations, assesses market trends and industry dynamics, and evaluates possible transaction consequences. Prior to Red Bison, Michael was the Director of Strategic Partnerships with the 5G Open Innovation Lab, where he led corporate engagements and advised on 5G business innovation. Michael also led Ericsson’s 5G Incubator and was an Entrepreneur in Residence at GE Ventures and Intellectual Ventures. Mr. Rubel was a decorated Naval Officer with 3 Medals of Commendation. He is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and received his MBA from Thunderbird, The American Graduate School of International Management.

E.J. von Schaumburg is Co-CEO/CRO at Red Bison Technology Group, where he is developing an ecosystem of partners to add value to Red Bison’s CRE Connectivity, Sustainability, and Security Platform. These partnerships enable Red Bison to deliver significant cost savings, new tenant technologies, and new revenue streams that increase the asset values of commercial properties. Mr. von Schaumburg has nearly three decades of experience in the telecommunications industry, including sales, marketing, software product development, operations, distribution, strategic planning, business development, and finance. Before joining Red Bison, he co-founded his own wireless design company and also held positions with AT&T/Lucent Technologies/Bell Labs, including serving as CFO of a Netherlands-based subsidiary. Mr. von Schaumburg was a founding member of the Wireless Ethernet Compatibility Alliance (WECA), the organization that created the term “WiFi,” and serves as a founding board member of the non-profit Building Cyber Security. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from St. Bonaventure University and his MBA in Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Dave Cahoon is CTO of Red Bison Technology Group, where he collaborates with internal and external resources in defining, building, and delivering multiple networks and security solutions for a broad range of customers at Red Bison. In addition, he is responsible for the overall security and privacy of the business. Dave has more than fifteen years of proven executive leadership experience leading high-performing technical teams. Throughout his career, he has personally led dozens of tactical units with upwards of 150+ employees. Mr. Cahoon’s career includes several other technical leadership, security, and engineering roles for Intel Security, McAfee, and RSA. In addition, he is proud to have worked at NASA’s Langley Research Center in one of the most demanding engineering and network roles available in U.S. government service. He architected the network platform for all of NASA Langley Research Center, which included 165 buildings.

Julia Pitlik is Chief Marketing Officer of Red Bison Technology Group, where she oversees the development and execution of strategic marketing programs and new market categories that create demand and brand awareness, along with increased revenues and market share for the company. Before Red Bison, Julia was CMO for BeyondEdge; a software-defined edge compute company focused on advancing networks via open and modular software platforms that deliver highly automated in-building networks. Before BeyondEdge, she was SVP of Marketing for CrossLayer, a managed network services company with a software-driven, edge compute platform designed to meet the market needs of commercial real estate owners and developers. During her career, Julia has held several executive and senior management positions in business development, sales, marketing, public relations, and talent acquisition with Nexius, Fujitsu, Sprint, and Texas Instruments. Pitlik is a graduate of the UT Dallas Executive MBA program and received a B.S. (magna cum laude) in Public Relations from Illinois State University. She is actively involved in local and national community and philanthropic programs tied to neurodiversity. She is a member of the Music Movement Board of Directors, a nonprofit organization that develops programs to support those with autism.

Mike Jennings is the VP of Customer Success of Red Bison Technology Group. He oversees multiple vendors, engineers, and business professionals involved in Red Bison’s building technology implementations, ensuring objectives are met or exceeded, removing obstacles, and mitigating all risks to on-time service delivery and excellence. Before Red Bison, Mike was an Executive Retail Program Manager of Global Managed Services at National Cash Register (NCR). In this position, he led a worldwide multi-department, multi-vendor project initiative to automate support for all Walmart store endpoints and simultaneously deliver a Single Pane of Glass for Walmart and vendors allowing automated remote resolution, directed, and assisted self-service and automated field engineer dispatch. Before NCR, Mike worked for RSA in the Security Division of EMC as the Americas Practice Manager of the Data Security Group and spent over eight years with Earthlink serving in positions with increasing responsibility in technical project and operations program management. Mike holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Asian Studies and History from Florida State University and a Masters-Level Certification in Technical Project Management from George Washington University.

Rob Tiffany is Managing Director, Edge Compute of Red Bison Technology Group, where he leads the company’s edge compute strategy, planning and consulting. In this role, Rob will work with customers to identify new opportunities to monetize edge compute capabilities of Red Bison’s in-building network, further expanding use cases for the building and tenants. A best-selling author, speaker, and contributor to technology industry publications, Rob previously founded Digital Insights, a strategic advisory consulting firm. He also held positions as Head of IoT Strategy at Ericsson, Chief Technology Officer at Hitachi, and Global Technology Lead for the Azure IoT cloud platform at Microsoft. Prior to Microsoft, Rob co-founded NetPreceptor, developing one of the industry’s earliest Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) platforms for smartphones. He is routinely ranked as one of the top IoT and Digital Twin influencers by major business publications.

Managing Director, Edge Compute
Benjamin Robblee is Director of Sales for Red Bison Technology Group. With deep experience in the commercial real estate sector, he is responsible for driving sales for the company’s advanced property technology solutions. Before joining Red Bison, Benjamin was a Vice President with CBRE’s Advisory & Transaction Services Group in Ontario, Calif., where he focused on building new client activity in the Inland Empire region. In this position, he represented some of the largest clients across various industry sectors, leveraging technology platforms to create a systematic approach to building a sustained portfolio of business. He is a graduate of California Baptist University with a B.S. in Business Administration and earned the rank of Eagle Scout with Boy Scouts of America. Benjamin is involved in volunteer and non-profit work through his active service in his local church community, teaching personal finance classes in his local community, and as a Trustee of a liberal arts college in Southern California.
